The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, also known as The Kellogg School or Kellogg, is one of the world's leading graduate business schools, consistently ranked in the top echelon by various publications, including BusinessWeek, U.S. News & World Report, and The Economist Intelligence Unit.
Founded in 1908 in downtown Chicago as a part-time evening program, the school was chartered to educate business leaders with "good moral character." Kellogg pioneered the use of group projects and group evaluations as a means of educating future executives. As a result, the school has been widely credited with popularizing the importance of "teamwork" and "team leadership" within the business world, as other business schools have followed suit in using group projects as educational tools.
Kellogg differentiates itself from other business schools by virtue of: its teaching method, which places equal emphasis on theory and practice; its entrepreneurial culture, which involves students in every facet of the school's decision-making process; its partnerships with other schools in China, India, Hong Kong, Israel, Germany, Canada, and Thailand; and its constantly evolving curriculum, which introduces new courses based on changing market demands, while retaining its core curriculum of analytical and behavioral disciplines.
Kellogg School graduates hold leadership positions in for-profit, nonprofit, governmental, and academic institutions around the world.
The Kellogg School is known throughout the world for its world-class faculty and state-of-the-art technology as well as its outstanding marketing and finance curricula.
